Tirana, October 25, 2021 - Tirana International Airport (TIA), in cooperation with Flynas Airlines, Kukes Zayed International Airport "Flatrat e Veriut" and the Albanian National Tourism Agency, have organized a Familiarization Trip (FAM TRIP), in which more than 10 tour operators from Riyadh participated.

As part of FAM TRIP, a B2B (business to business) meeting between Albanian tour operators and those of Riyadh took place on 18 October, with the aim of promoting Albanian tourism in the Arab market.

This meeting is an important step in promoting the country's potential in the development of sustainable tourism, with a focus on travelers from Riyadh but not only, after direct flights that started three times a week between Tirana and Riyadh with Flynas.

Representatives of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and the Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport, Mr. Volker Wendefeuer attended the meeting.

The conference was greeted by representatives of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and the Director of the National Tourism Agency Mrs. Kornelia Ferizaj.

Tirana International Airport has been and will always remain positive in contributing towards a better business environment in the country, and for a better economy towards its tourist development. Despite the pandemic, TIA has had a busy season in terms of the high number of passengers, setting new standards for air transport in Albania with the expansion of the destination map, in relation to the lowest air ticket prices for passengers , the quality of services and the frequency of use of the Airport by the airlines.
