Tirana, 9 July 2026 – Tirana International Airport (TIA) today welcomed the inaugural flight of Chair Airlines, marking the start of the airline’s operations at Tirana International Airport.

The new Zurich–Tirana route will operate three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, offering passengers greater travel opportunities between Albania and Switzerland.

To mark the occasion, the inaugural flight was welcomed at TIA with a traditional and symbolic ceremony celebrating the beginning of this new partnership.

Chair Airlines is a Swiss leisure airline based in Zurich, operating a modern fleet of Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. By adding Tirana to its network, the airline further strengthens its presence in the Balkans and offers passengers another direct travel option between Switzerland and Albania.
