Tirane, Albania-13 May 2026 -Spain continues to be one of the most attractive destinations, offering a combination of cities rich in cultural heritage, Mediterranean beaches, culinary experiences, and tourism opportunities throughout the year. Turespaña, Wizz Air, and Tirana International Airport (TIA) organized a presentation event today in Tirana for Spanish destinations, bringing together media representatives, tour operators, tourism industry stakeholders, and institutional partners to celebrate the new destinations between Albania and Spain, as well as to explore new opportunities for strengthening tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.

“Thanks to the expansion of air connections, we are seeing a significant increase in tourism exchanges between our two countries. Currently, we have around 100,000 Spanish visitors choosing Albania as a destination, while approximately 40,000 Albanians travel to Spain.

I am very pleased with this increasingly close connection, as it contributes not only to the development of tourism but also to strengthening relations between our two countries,” said Gabriel Cremade, Ambassador of Spain to Albania.

“Spain offers an extraordinarily diverse tourism experience, from culture and gastronomy to beaches, nature, and urban getaways,” said Blanca Perez-Sauquillo, Tourism Counselor at the Embassy of Spain in Albania. “Through this presentation event, we are delighted to introduce some of Spain’s most attractive destinations to the Albanian market and further strengthen tourism relations between Spain and Albania.”
