Tirana International Airport (TIA) and SKY Express inaugurated the new destination Heraklion (Crete), strengthening air connectivity between Albania and Greece.


The ceremony took place airside, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Mrs. Belinda Balluku, representatives from the Embassy of Greece, the Embassy of Albania in Greece, SKY Express, and TIA.

Speeches were delivered by Mr. Georgios Baliouskas, Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi, and Mrs. Manjola Kaso, emphasizing the growing cooperation and the expansion of services in the Albanian market.

The new route to Heraklion will operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday, and will be available throughout the entire year, offering passengers a convenient connection to one of Greece’s most iconic destinations.


This new destination represents an important step toward strengthening tourism and business travel opportunities between the two countries.
