TIA and Air Albania Inaugurate New Air Route to Geneva

Tirana International Airport (TIA) and Air Albania inaugurated today the new direct route between Tirana and Geneva, further expanding the possibilities of air connection between Albania and Europe.

A special ceremony was organized before the departure of the flight from TIA to mark this important moment, with the presence of Air Albania’s Director of Sales and Marketing and TIA’s Director of Operations, Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi.

Passengers were surprised with personalized gifts, marking the launch of this new air route by TIA.

TIA – An Important Air Gateway for the Region

TIA continues to strengthen its position as a key airport in the region, enabling direct and affordable connections for Albanian and international passengers. The addition of Geneva as a destination is another step forward in expanding travel opportunities, serving as a strategic connection for business and leisure travelers to Switzerland.

TIA has seen a steady increase in air traffic, thanks to its destination network expansion strategies and ongoing infrastructure investments. Currently, the airport is expanding its terminal, building new aircraft parking positions and implementing advanced passenger processing technologies, ensuring a faster and more efficient experience.

The fleet is growing. There are already three aircraft, but more will follow. As you can see around, the airport is being built at a rapid pace. The expansion of the airport and the increase in passenger capacity is an important step, especially with the new parking facilities. Reaching 12 million passengers is an ambitious goal and our objective for this year is to welcome more passengers.” -said Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi.
