Tirana, 18/12/2023 – Tirana International Airport proudly announces a momentous achievement as it celebrates its 7 millionth passenger for the year 2023. This significant milestone occurred on a flight from Tirana to Prague with Wizz Air, marking a noteworthy moment in the airport's ongoing

success.

This achievement not only emphasizes the airport's growing prominence but also underscores its pivotal role in advancing the aviation sector in Albania. The consistent increase in passenger numbers reflects the success of Tirana International Airport's strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing connectivity and accessibility.

"We reached twice the number of passengers compared to 2019 and also 35% more passengers flew in TIA than last year. This is thanks to all the airlines, but of course, Wizz Air is the main airline in Albania, and not by chance, the 7 millionth passenger is on this Wizz Air flight to Prague" stated Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi, Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport.
