Tirana, 9 July 2025 – Tirana International Airport (TIA) welcomed the first group of travelers aboard Jordan Aviation’s inaugural charter flight from Amman, Jordan, establishing a new direct link between the two capitals. This connection expands Albania’s growing access to the Middle East and highlights the country's rising appeal as a destination for tourism and regional cooperation.

The aircraft landed at TIA at 08:00 AM and was greeted with a traditional water salute, followed by a welcoming reception organized by Tirana International Airport. Passengers on the flight enjoyed traditional Albanian sweets, and the Jordan Aviation crew was warmly received with flower bouquets.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held airside beside the aircraft, with representatives from Tirana International Airport and Jordan Aviation gathering for a group photo to commemorate the beginning of this new route.

“This new connection is the result of close coordination and commitment between the teams at Tirana International Airport and Jordan Aviation,” said Piervittorio Farabbi, Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport. “It responds to increasing demand for diversified travel opportunities and confirms TIA’s role as a key bridge between Europe and the Middle East.”

Hamzeh Alkhashman, Deputy CFO of Jordan Aviation, added: “Opening service to Tirana is a meaningful development for us. Albania continues to grow in popularity among Jordanian travelers, and we look forward to building a strong presence in this promising market.”
