Porto Palermo Castle, also known as Ali Pasha Castle, is a historical fortress located on the Albanian Riviera in southern Albania. The castle was built in the early 19th century by Ali Pasha of Tepelena, a local ruler known for his strong influence in the region. The fortress is situated on a small peninsula in the bay of Porto Palermo, offering strategic views of the Ionian Sea.



The castle's architecture features a triangular layout with three bastions, thick stone walls, and an interior courtyard. It served both as a defensive structure and a residence for Ali Pasha. Today, Porto Palermo Castle is a popular tourist attraction, appreciated for its historical significance and scenic location, providing visitors with stunning views and a glimpse into Albania's rich history.
