Four airline companies to launch 140 direct flights per week from Tirana International Airport to Italy

- Alitalia and AirOne to add more flights to Italian destinations
- Meridiana, Livingston and Small Planet Airlines to start operations from Tirana International Airport

Tirana International Airport (TIA) would like to inform its passengers that as of 20 December 2013, four different carriers will between them be launching an average of 140 direct flights per week from the Airport to various destinations in Italy.

Following the suspension of Belle Air flights a couple of weeks ago, a number of carriers have expressed interest in the Albanian market. Alitalia and AirOne will account for 114 of the direct flights, increasing the frequency of their flights, while new names on the list of airline operators at TIA will include Meridiana, Livingston and Small Planet Airlines.

The main destinations served by the carriers will be Milan, Rome, Venice, Bologna, Verona, Pisa, Bari, Turin, Genoa and Napoli.
In addition, Adria Airways will increase the frequency of flights to Ljubljana, starting on 12 December, and Olympic Air will add more flights to Athens, starting on 11 December.

For further information on the new and rescheduled flights please visit the Airport home page (www.tirana-airport.com) where visitors can also click on the real-time Arrivals and Departures information. Notifications on the new carriers will be released after 20 December.
In the meantime, Tirana International Airport would also like to send greetings to all of its passengers and customers for the season’s festivities and best wishes for 2014, full of good health, joy and prosperity.
