Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) holds the overall responsibility for the company’s development and strategy. He oversees the legitimacy of all actions taken, he carries the responsibility for profitable delivery of the full aviation operations at the airport in accordance with Albanian and ICAO standards.
He also manages the security of the airport and the relationships with airlines, government agencies, staff and suppliers.
As head of the company, he is the contact person for all stakeholders.
Mr Volker Wendefeuer
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) has the responsibility for Airport operations. Mr Wendefeuer has had an exceptional career of more than 50 years in airport operations. Previously, from 1999 to 2004 he worked as Chief Operations Officer of Athens International Airport in Greece. From 2005, he worked as Senior Vice-president of Operations and Terminal Services at Fraport, Germany.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the corporation's accounting and finance.This includes an appropriate reporting structure in accordance with international standards, the auditing of the accounts and the monthly reporting to the Administrative Council as well as the preparation of right and lawful contract-procurement. The CFO also manages the airport’s insurances.
Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is responsible for the overall internal audit and risk management functions. These functions provide the enterprise with reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of its objectives through the assessment of diverse categories of risk and the evaluation of the effectiveness of internal control system in accordance with the related international standards.
