Special assistance

Special traveller services are available for passengers with reduced mobility, children travelling alone (between 6 and 12 years of age), for those travelling with a baby, and for passengers requiring a special menu. Please inform your airline of your special requirements connected with these services when you buy your ticket or no later than three days before travelling.

Under European legislation, Tirana International Airport is responsible for providing special assistance to persons with reduced mobility. However, we aim to provide a level of service that far exceeds the legislation guidelines.

What you need to do:
If you have a disability or you experience mobility difficulties, you need to inform your airline of your particular need at least 48 hours before you fly. It is advisable to give as much notice as possible for both outbound and return journeys; in this way we can ensure you receive the assistance you require. Nevertheless, if no notification is given, we will still make all reasonable efforts to assist you.

At the Airport
There is parking dedicated to people with reduced mobility in front of the terminal. Please call Airport staff at +355 4 2381 800 and assistance will be provided by First Aid personnel.

Do you need special documentation? Please always have your passport and ticket or boarding pass at hand at all times as this will help you get through the Airport in a timely manner.
