- Tirana International Airport welcomed some 200 tourists from Bratislava
- Scheduled flights will bring in tourists once per week

Tirana International Airport (TIA) held a ceremony on Monday, 30 June 2014, to celebrate the beginning of a new tourist charter flight between Tirana and Bratislava. The weekly service is provided by Shkodra Travel&Tours travel agency and will operate on Mondays.

Some 200 tourists arrived from Bratislava on the first flight from Slovakia curious to see Albania and enjoy its sandy beaches.

The scheduled flight will operate throughout the summer with a Boeing 737. This new route brings the number of foreign destinations reached by direct flight from Tirana to 18.

TIA is managing the summer season well, and offers consistent high standards of security, service and comfort for all of its customers.
